For over twenty years, our law and patent office has been offering a wide range of legal services tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Thanks to our many years of experience, we can offer our clients a professional and comprehensive portfolio of services in the field of Civil Law with the aim of achieving the best results for our clients. Our specialty is the protection of Industrial Property. Thanks to the combination of our experience and knowledge in both fields, we are able to perfectly understand the client's needs and, above all, apply them in practice.
We prosecute applications for patents, utility models, trademarks, designations of origin and geographical indications, and semiconductor topographies before the Czech Industrial Property Office, the EPO in Munich, the EUIPO in Alicante, and the WIPO in Geneva. We are able and willing to conduct all proceedings before these authorities, from applications to proposals for the invalidation of rights.
In the Czech Republic, we also provide representation before the courts in cases of infringement of intellectual property and industrial property rights, in unfair competition matters, and in civil and commercial litigation.

About our firm
Our law firm focuses on the practice of law in the traditional sense. We offer not only professional expertise (which we consider a standard) but also a personalized approach tailored to our clients' needs and individual schedules. The core of our practice involves representing clients before courts and administrative authorities at all levels. We also represent our clients in out-of-court negotiations, both prior to the commencement of and during formal proceedings. Furthermore, we handle all contractual matters, which involves the drafting of contracts and other legal documents for our clients.
The legal services we provide are based not only upon a thorough knowledge of applicable law and court case law, but also upon an understanding of the economic and commercial contexts often essential for a case's resolution. Within our practice, we strive to avoid protracted disputes before courts and administrative bodies. He is also an accredited provider of the IP Scan service for the 'Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund' grant program, an accreditation granted by the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic/EUIPO.
Members of our firm are actively engaged in publishing, previously for renowned publishing houses such as Verlag Dashofer (for products including 'The Corporate Lawyer,' 'Managing Executive Risk,' 'The Entrepreneur's Legal Guide,' and 'Effective Debt Recovery in Practice,' among others), C. H. Beck, and I. P. Media Group.
Currently, we primarily contribute to Wolters Kluwer Czech Republic, focusing on the law of obligations, corporate law, administrative law, unfair competition, and industrial property rights.
Dr. Pospíšil has served as an external lecturer at the University of Applied Law - Department of Private Law (2002 – 2017) and Metropolitan University Prague - Department of Industrial property (2009-2019), teaching civil/commercial law and all of the other connected branches of law, including publishing.
He is currently an external lecturer at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague.
Dr. Pospíšil is the Chairman of the Editorial Board of the professional journal 'Obchodní právo' (Commercial Law Journal). The journal focuses on corporate law, capital markets law, insolvency law, commercial obligations, and industrial property rights. It has been on the market for nearly 30 years.
Its editorial board is composed of leading legal experts – attorneys, judges, and academics from various law faculties. The journal is published by the renowned publishing house Wolters Kluwer, a.s.

Pricing and fees
Our fees for legal services are determined by a list of contractual fees, which is available to you upon request.
Task-based remuneration
Remuneration for legal services is based on a contractual fee calculated from the number of legal services provided (e.g., drafting a lawsuit or each hour of court proceedings). The amount is determined according to the type of proceedings in which the representation takes place.
Hourly rate
When it is more favorable for the client, we charge an hourly rate based on the quarter hours commenced. The rate varies depending on the field of service provided.
Fixed fees
In the field of industrial property rights and for proceedings before the Industrial Property Office, fees are typically determined by a fixed price list.
